Three Best NYC Restaurants for People Who Hate Food

Food so good that even if you hate eating, you’ll stuff your face

1. Rich Skinny Bitch

Succulent, rich and tantalizing. Yes, dahling, not your date for the evening, but the scrumptious fare at Jean Georges. Even if their pre-fixe, three course menu — and all its caloric glory — seems insurmountable to you, nibble away at the a la carte bar menu.

Whether you’re a fan of carrot cake or not, I recommend you take a bite of Jean-Georges’s Brown Butter Carrot Cake. It’s a dynamic cake with tastes that are rich and delicate. Well-balanced and delicious, the cake’s spices, carrots, and sweet tangy cream is the perfect and forgivable indulgence. Adventure to Jean-Georges, and I promise that every calorie will be worth even dollar.

2. Avoiding the Effects of Eating — At Least Some of Them

No animal products. No slaughterhouses. No CO2 emissions from cow farts. No overfishing guilt. Peace Food Cafe is one of the best (and healthiest) vegan restaurants in all of the five boroughs. With posh decor, their Union Square location gives you a first rate experience at a reasonable price, and their food is to die for! What more could you ask for? But yeah, I know you’re not a fan of eating… but since you have to, why not eat at an amazing restaurant with little to no carbon footprint. It’s kinda’ as if you’re not eating at all. 😉

Blueberry cornflake muffin; Asian green salad; Vegan cheeseburger, chickpea fries and a beet salad

3. As Cheap as Not Eating At All

Well, not really. …I mean, what quality restaurant in NYC is cheap?! But this Indian restaurant, Pongal, is the best Indian restaurant in New York City. It’s also a vegetarian and kosher South Indian restaurant with a plethora of flavorful dishes. My favorite is the savory bhindi masala. Also, Pongal has an array of dosai. You must also try its dessert, Gulab jamun — the best. I promise that Pongal’s food will be worth every calorie.
